2010 Immersions

The following was the Laboratory Immersions Program for 2010 and is provided for reference.

June 17–18, 2010 at Dickinson College, PA

This is a special two day Immersion that will focus on single-photon quantum mechanics experiments.

July 17, 2010 at the 2010 AAPT Summer Meeting in Portland, OR

Reed College is the site for ALPhA's second Laboratory Immersion, co-sponsored with the American Association of Physics Teachers. Unlike other Immersions, this session is for a single day. Registration for this Immersion is now open and is conducted through the AAPT website; this will be Workshop W01, 8:00 a.m.—5:00 p.m., July 17, 2010. The cost is $100.00 for AAPT members and $125.00 for non-AAPT members. See the AAPT’s Summer Meeting Workshops website for details.

Aug. 2–4, 2010, at Buffalo State College in Buffalo, NY

Aug. 11–13, 2010 at Caltech in Pasadena, CA

Registration for Dickinson, Buffalo State, and Caltech Immersions: $100.00 per experiment (includes meals). Travel and Housing costs are the responsibility of the participants.
